Solihull Times Magazine has teamed up with Warwickshire Gin Company, based in Leamington, to offer a prize gin bundle worth £84.
Distilled using a small-batch method, the inspiration behind the craft distillery’s portfolio of artisan copper pot-distilled premium spirits, comes from a desire to capture a moment in history, developing flavours to fully represent the county’s own unique story and bringing the range of hand-crafted flavours to life.
The gins are: Leamington on Parade – inspired by the true story
of three elephants brought over from Sri Lanka to Leamington by circus elephant trainer Sam Lockhart in the 1880s; The Kingmaker
– named after Richard Neville 16th Earl of Warwick; Peeping Tom
– inspired by the legend of Coventry’s Lady Godiva; Pelota Dry
Gin – In honour of the formation of the world’s first lawn tennis club in Leamington and The Philosopher’s Daughter – remembering Katherine Dee who selected botanicals from knot gardens such
as the privy paradise created at Kenilworth Castle, for her father, Victorian philosopher John Dee in his quest for the distillation of alcohol.
The competition prize includes two tickets for the G&Tea Experience where you can enjoy a new twist on traditional afternoon tea with a focus on gin.
You’ll be able to tuck into a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and delectable desserts all perfectly paired with gins of your choice. The winner will also receive a Gift Set including a 20cl bottle of Warwickshire Gin Company gin of their choice plus a branded goblet and six handmade gin-infused chocolates.
The distillery also offers Gin Tasting and Cocktails at The Distillery visitor experiences.
